Experimental Visual Tools

About Tools [6]

I created these tools while exploring how abstract inputs can become visual systems you can play with: sound, image, rhythm, texture, color, and motion. Each tool on this website is part experiment, part playground — designed to make browser-based creation feel immediate, tactile, and a little strange. They are less about technical precision and more about curiosity: exploring the space where media stops being something you only consume, and starts becoming something you can shape, distort, and experience differently.

01 Reactive Typography

SOUND—TYPE Reactive Visualizer by Kupkovaaa

Video Preview Sound Input

A browser-based audio visualizer that turns sound into kinetic typographic motion. The experience is tuned for expressive letterforms, quick visual feedback, and a clean stage for live audio input.

Detail

Built as a live typographic stage where microphone or file input can push letterforms into motion. The tool is useful for quick audio-reactive tests, visual identity experiments, and capturing sound as readable but unstable kinetic type.

02 Chladni Study

SOUND—CHLADNI Visualizer by Kupkovaaa

Video Preview Frequency Form

A Chladni-inspired sound visualizer focused on resonance, frequency, and geometric interference. It gives the collection a more scientific, frequency-led visual language.

Detail

This study translates audio behavior into nodal, plate-like structures inspired by Chladni patterns. It is designed for exploring symmetry, resonance, and the moment when sound begins to feel like a physical material.

03 Liquid Pattern

SOUND-LIQUID Reactive Visualizer by Kupkovaaa

Video Preview Liquid Field

A fluid pattern visualizer that translates sound into flowing, reactive compositions. Built for softer motion, liquid texture, and browser-based visual experimentation.

Detail

A softer counterpoint to the frequency studies, this tool treats sound as a liquid field. It is made for expressive motion, organic distortion, and visual outputs that feel more like texture, heat, or movement than a standard waveform.

04 Sand Study

SOUND—SAND Reactive Visualizer by Kupkovaaa

Video Preview Granular Field

A sound-reactive visual study inspired by granular movement and sand-like texture. Designed as a tactile counterpoint to the sharper pattern and typography tools.

Detail

SOUND-SAND imagines audio as a granular surface that gathers, scatters, and shifts with the input signal. The visual language is tactile and material, built for experiments that need a rougher, more physical kind of sound reaction.

05 Gradient Mapping

ACID IT Experimental Image Editor by Kupkovaaa

Image Preview ACID IT image editor interface preview Gradient Maps

An experimental image editor for applying gradient maps, light adjustments, and motion-driven visual treatments. ACID IT also supports importing custom PSD .grd gradient files for building your own color systems directly in the browser.

Detail

ACID IT is built for fast image transformation: upload an image, push it through gradient maps, adjust the tonal behavior, and add motion-led treatments. The .grd import makes it possible to bring Photoshop gradient systems into a browser-based workflow.

06 Camera Field

SIGNAL FIELD Live Tool by Kupkovaa

Image Preview Signal Field camera-reactive ASCII artwork preview ASCII Camera

A live camera-reactive drawing tool that turns motion, edges, and light into an ASCII or bitmap signal field. It includes render modes, character sets, palette controls, sensitivity tuning, and export options for still images or recorded video.

Detail

Signal Field uses the camera as a drawing input instead of a normal video feed. Edges, contrast, and movement are converted into ASCII marks or bitmap structures, with controls for palettes, character density, reflection, sensitivity, and export.
